Me and Mr Brown
New Season, New Songs!

As we head into the new spring/summer season 2010/2011 it's vital that we keep the setlist fresh, varied and exciting. With that in mind, we've added a few belters in the last week or so that should go down a treat. The 'best of Brithish' gets an airing with the Verve's 'Bittersweet Symphony' and the La's classic 'There She Goes'. The cheese lovers amongst you should be happy with the additions of 'Simply the Best' and 'One and Only' and we've even stuck a Genesis classic in there with 'I Can't Dance'. If you have any ideas of songs that we should play, please e mail me at info@meandmrbrown.com and we'll take a look at any ideas that you have!

New Logo and Backdrop!

We now have a brand new logo and backdrop! Thanks to our friends at Cafe Roux and Stor-Age who have very kindly sponsored our brand new backdrop. Its HUGE and very, very cool. Also, a big thanks to Lynne Hoskins who designed our new logo- we're so pleased with it. I even managed to take a pretty grainy photo of the new backdrop but it looks much better in real life!

VANS Endorses Me and Mr Brown!

Yes, that's right- Me and Mr Brown have received their first clothing endorsement. The skateboard brand VANS have come on board and have kitted the boys out with shoes, sneakers, t shirts, hoodies and general bits and pieces. Mr Brown in particular enjoyed his trip to the shop floor last tuesday at 'Surf and Turf' opposite Cavendish. There's some awesome stuff there in stock. Many thanks to Chris and his team for sorting that out!

Me and Mr Brown AND Mr Magee!

Every now and then, either Me or Mr Brown find ourselves unable to perform on certain dates due to prior bookings. Into the breach steps in Mr Bill "Billy' Magee. Billy is great on guitar and bass and is the perfect replacement to gig on any occasion. Very often found sipping a bottle or two of Amstel in Noordhoek, Billy is particular strong when it comes to the older hits from the days of yore but he's also more than comfortable playing the Killers and Kings of Leon as he is The Beatles back catalogue.
